ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2017-2019

On the eve of 6 Dec. 2017,  six gallant gentlemen and an iron lady walked into a reserved room at the Coffee Shop of Shangri-la at the Fort.  Inside this conclave they exchanged classified retail information and general pleasantries. (L-R) Steven Cua/Welcome Supermart, Edna Ontiveros/ Candice Megamart (Tuguegarao), Fred Gravador/ Simplicity Minimart (Muzon, Bulacan), Alfie Gatmaytan/Kiko Mart, Myke Teodoro/Velamart, Liansel Sy/Liana’s and Arjie Lim/Andrew’s (Puerto Princesa).  Sorely missing that evening were Robert Go/Prince Group of Supermarkets (Vis-Min) and Desmond Chua/Daily Supermarket. The elected Officers for the term 2017-2019 were: Steven Cua – President Liansel Sy    -  Vice President Myke Teodoro   -   Treasurer Desmond Chua  -   Corp. Secretary Fred Gravador    -  P.R.O.

PAGASA GENERAL MEETING FOR FIRST QUARTER OF 2021

On the eve of 3 February 2021, the Association held its virtual General Meeting for the first quarter of 2021. The Meet was sponsored by i-Ripple, enabler of My Suki which intends to have as its groceries providers the members of PAGASA. Online selling was a must-do proposition for supermarkets given the extended negative sales effect that the pandemic was wreaking on food retailers.

PINHOLES IN POWDERY PACKAGES AT A TIME OF COVID-19

A vigilant shopper sent this video to a social media platform and it went viral. Her observation that the health-hazardous puncturing of minute holes on powdery products packaged in plastic bags (like sugar, salt and the like) to let air out and make displays in supermarkets even and easier for stocking is very valid in view of the uncontained spread of COVID-19.  PAGASA members were advised to refrain from this practice.
