MEETING WITH BAFS ON PNS OF HYGIENIC PRACTICES FOR FRESH PRODUCE

On 24 October 2017, the DA’s Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS) held a public consultative meeting for the revision of the Philippine National Standard (PNS) Code of Hygienic Practices for the sale of fresh agriculture and fishery products in markets and authorized outlets at the University Hotel of the U.P. Diliman Campus.  PAGASA was invited as a Resource Person when it came to requirements of  supermarkets in the hygienic delivery of fresh produce and fishery products to make them more marketable.

PAGASA GENERAL MEETING FOR FIRST QUARTER OF 2021

On the eve of 3 February 2021, the Association held its virtual General Meeting for the first quarter of 2021. The Meet was sponsored by i-Ripple, enabler of My Suki which intends to have as its groceries providers the members of PAGASA. Online selling was a must-do proposition for supermarkets given the extended negative sales effect that the pandemic was wreaking on food retailers.

AJIS OF JAPAN VISITS PAGASA OFFICE

AJIS (All Japan Inventory Service) is an international company performing outsourced physical inventory for retail outlets.  It plans to set up office in the Philippines sometime November and is doing due diligence before investing in the country. On 10 March 2016, (counter-clockwise) Jun Omi-san, Takuya Hisadome-san, Adones Murayama-san, Raita Uckidado-san and Kenta Tagawa-san presented to PAGASA’s STC and William Villanueva what their company is offering the local retail businesses.
