On 22 May 2012, STC attended another public hearing of the Technical Working Group for the amended Consumer Act of the Philippines at Congress representing the private sector.  The TWG was chaired by Atty. Rhodora Raterta and its Secretariat Head Valentin Palanca.  Various bill proposals are being considered by the Subcommittee on Consumer Protection & Trade Regulation headed by Cong. Tomas Apacible.

PAGASA GENERAL MEETING FOR FIRST QUARTER OF 2021

On the eve of 3 February 2021, the Association held its virtual General Meeting for the first quarter of 2021. The Meet was sponsored by i-Ripple, enabler of My Suki which intends to have as its groceries providers the members of PAGASA. Online selling was a must-do proposition for supermarkets given the extended negative sales effect that the pandemic was wreaking on food retailers.

AJIS OF JAPAN VISITS PAGASA OFFICE

AJIS (All Japan Inventory Service) is an international company performing outsourced physical inventory for retail outlets.  It plans to set up office in the Philippines sometime November and is doing due diligence before investing in the country. On 10 March 2016, (counter-clockwise) Jun Omi-san, Takuya Hisadome-san, Adones Murayama-san, Raita Uckidado-san and Kenta Tagawa-san presented to PAGASA’s STC and William Villanueva what their company is offering the local retail businesses.
