PRA 2008 2nd Qtr Gen Meet

PAGASA Pres. Steven Cua was invited to act as moderator at the 2008 2nd Qtr General Meeting of the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), the umbrella organization of all retailers (supermarkets being a sub-sector of the retail industry). Guests for the day were Intellectual Property Office (IPO) Director-Gen.

Adrian Cristobal Jr. who spoke on the registration and nature of trademarks, patents and related matters; and Miguel Suterio (left in picture), Managing Director of Trade Dynamics, Inc. a training outfit specializing in Retail Brand Management.

PAGASA GENERAL MEETING FOR FIRST QUARTER OF 2021

On the eve of 3 February 2021, the Association held its virtual General Meeting for the first quarter of 2021. The Meet was sponsored by i-Ripple, enabler of My Suki which intends to have as its groceries providers the members of PAGASA. Online selling was a must-do proposition for supermarkets given the extended negative sales effect that the pandemic was wreaking on food retailers.

AJIS OF JAPAN VISITS PAGASA OFFICE

AJIS (All Japan Inventory Service) is an international company performing outsourced physical inventory for retail outlets.  It plans to set up office in the Philippines sometime November and is doing due diligence before investing in the country. On 10 March 2016, (counter-clockwise) Jun Omi-san, Takuya Hisadome-san, Adones Murayama-san, Raita Uckidado-san and Kenta Tagawa-san presented to PAGASA’s STC and William Villanueva what their company is offering the local retail businesses.
